Wind Shift in Obama Foreign Policy

I predict disengagement of US foreign policy emphasis from Europe and Near East and shifting of its direction to the Pacific Rim, including the Latin America. This will lead to economic resurgence of the US. The choice of next Secretary of State is critical. It is probable that John Huntsman may be taken into serious consideration.   Such bi-partisan foreign policy strengthens the US credibility in dealing with third world issues.

It is quite significant that President Obama's first post-election state visit is to Burma which is not only an Asian, but also a Buddhist, nation.
